 What is the Butterfly membership?

A Butterfly membership is required to start scanning, as it includes the credentials that you will use to log into the Butterfly iQ app. The membership serves as your user license and allows you to gain access to use the probe.

The Butterfly membership includes unlimited secure study storage, anonymized study sharing, secure Cloud access from your mobile device or computer, advanced imaging features, and access to our Education Portal.

Is a membership required?

Purchase of a new Butterfly iQ, iQ+, or iQ Vet requires purchase of a Butterfly iQ membership. After the first year, if Pro members choose not to renew their membership, they would lose access to member-only features, such as Power Doppler, study sharing, and the education portal. They would continue to have access to the studies they've already saved, but would no longer be able to save new studies. The iQ would only operate in a live view mode with access to B-mode and Color Doppler.

I need help selecting a membership plan.

If you're purchasing one probe to use yourself, the Pro individual membership is likely the best choice for you. This is best for solo practitioners.

If you're purchasing more than one probe for use by a variety of people in the same practice or clinic, you'll probably want our Pro Team membership, which allows you to create separate user accounts for each user. Pro Team members all have access to the same archive library and can leverage worksheets and team commenting for greater collaboration and documentation.

If you're deciding between Pro individual and Pro Team, we recommend buying a Pro individual annual  membership. You can always upgrade to a team and purchase more probes in the future.

If you're looking to purchase a membership for more than five to ten users or are interested in advanced integration options, we encourage you to consider our Medical Education and Enterprise offerings.

Can I be part of a team and have my own individual subscription?

Yes. You can be a member of as many teams as you'd like in addition to having your own individual account.
