Managing Archives

We recommend organizing archives in a way that most benefits your organization's needs. A common model would be to have Clinical Scans and Educational Scans as separate archives, or to separate your archives by provider, clinic, or time period. Note that only administrators can create, delete, and restore archives.

To create a new archive:

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials.
  2. On the left side of the screen are all your archives. Click "Create."
  3. Enter an archive title and click "Create."

To delete an archive:

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials.
  2. On the left side of the screen, select the archive you wish to delete.
  3. In the top right corner of the archive window, select "Archive Settings."
  4. Select "Delete Archive." The system prompts you to confirm the deletion.
  5. Click "Delete" to delete the archive.

To restore a deleted archive:

Note: Restoring an archive also restores all studies that were deleted with the archive.

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials.
  2. Click the "Deleted Archives" drop-down menu located at the bottom of the list of archives on the left side of the screen.
  3. The drop-down menu reveals a list of deleted archives. Click the deleted archive you want to restore.
  4. Select "Restore" . The system prompts you to confirm the restoration of the deleted archive. Once confirmed, the archive is restored.

To restrict access to an archive:

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials.
  2. On the left side of the screen, select the archive you wish to delete.
  3. In the top right corner of the archive window, select "Archive Settings."
  4. Click "Private archive" to make the archive private.
  5. Click "Edit access" to modify the list of people who have access to the archive. All administrators have access to all archives. You can add and remove members to the list of people who have access.
