Managing Studies

To edit study details:

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly iQ credentials.
  2. Navigate to the archive that contains the study you want to edit.
  3. Select the study you want to edit.
  4. Select the three dots on the top right corner of the study. Select Edit.
  5. Edit patient details and study notes in the window that opens.
  6. Select Save when complete.

To measure or annotate a study after it is saved:

Note: Measurement and annotation in Butterfly Cloud is not available for M-Mode scans or cines. Calculations are not available in Butterfly Cloud.

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly iQ credentials.
  2. Navigate to the archive that contains the study you want to edit.
  3. Select the study you want to edit.
  4. Select Measure at the bottom of the image you want to edit.
  5. Select the Line, Ellipse, or Annotation tool.
  6. Select the image to begin drawing the measurement or typing the annotation.
  7. To remove an annotation once it is added, select the "X" next to it at the bottom of the image.
  8. Select "Save and Exit" when you are done.

Note that measurements added in Butterfly Cloud can be removed at any time, but measurements added during the study cannot be edited once the study is saved.

To move a study to a different archive:

Note: only administrators can move finalized studies.

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly iQ credentials.
  2. Navigate to the archive that contains the study you want to move.
  3. In the right corner of the study, click the drop-down menu icon to display the menu. Select "Move Study."
  4. In the window that is displayed, select the new archive.

To delete a study:

Note: only administrators can delete finalized studies.

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials.
  2. Navigate to the archive that contains the study you want to delete.
  3. In the top right corner of the study, click the "More" drop-down menu to display the menu.
  4. Select "Delete study." The system prompts you to confirm the deletion.
  5. Click "Delete" to delete the study.

To restore a deleted study:

Note: only administrators can restore deleted studies.

  1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly iQ credentials.
  2. Click Deleted Studies on the bottom of the left side of the screen. The deleted studies are displayed in the center of the screen.
  3. In the top right corner of the study, click the "More" drop-down menu to display the menu.
  4. Select "Restore deleted study." The system prompts you to confirm the restoration of the deleted study.
  5. Click "Restore" to restore the study.

Once a study is uploaded, it is not possible to move or delete individual scans.
