You can share de-identified studies seamlessly with anyone.
To share a study on a computer:
- Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials.
- Select the archive your study is in, then select the study.
- On the top right of the screen, is a box with an arrow coming out of it. Click that image.
- Copy the deidentified study link to share via email or any other platform.
Note - Only studies captured on a Butterfly iQ device can be shared in a de-identified manner.
To share a study from the app:
- Log into your Butterfly app and select the Archive tab (folder icon) at the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Navigate to the archive in which your study is saved, then select the study you wish to share.
- Tap the share icon (box with an arrow coming out of it) at the top right of the screen.
- Select whether to share a de-identified study (no PHI) or a study with PHI. From there, you can choose to share the study via a direct text message or copy the link. Once copied, you can paste that link into a text message, email, or post anywhere.
Note - Only studies captured on a Butterfly iQ device can be shared in a de-identified manner.
Downloading Studies
You can download full studies as PDFs or download images and cines as de-identified files. Images are available for download as PNG or DICOM files, and cines are available for download as MP4 or DICOM files.
Note: Only administrators can download PDFs that include patient information. PDFs downloaded by team members will include no PHI. If cines are included in the PDF study, the PDF will include one frame of each cine, with a link to view the cines in Butterfly Cloud.
To download a study as a PDF on a computer:
- Log into cloud.butterflynetwork.com on a computer.
- Select the archive your study is in, then select the study.
- Select the three dots on the top right corner of the screen.
- Select "Create PDF."
- Select the content you wish to include in the study PDF. If you want to include all content, select all options.
- Only administrators can download PDFs that include patient information. PDFs downloaded by team members will include no PHI.
- Select Download to download the study as a PDF.
To download a study as a PDF from the app:
- Log into the Butterfly app and select the Archive tab (folder icon) at the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Navigate to the archive in which your study is saved, then select the study you wish to share.
- Tap the share icon (box with an arrow coming out of it) at the top right of the screen.
- Select "Create PDF".
- Once your PDF is generated, you can choose to download the PDF to your files or share directly from the app.
To download an individual image or video:
- Log into cloud.butterflynetwork.com on a computer.
- Select the archive your study is in, then select the study.
- Select the image or clip to download.
- On the bottom right corner of the image or clip, click Download.
- If the study is a draft, the image or video will be immediately downloaded to your computer as an PNG or MP4 file, respectively. If the study is finalized, you will be presented with a choice of what file type you'd prefer for the image or video. Select the format you'd prefer, then select download.
- Your downloaded image or video will be saved to your computer's Desktop, Downloads, or other folder based on your computer preferences.
Not all presets and imaging modes are available everywhere. Check for the availability in your country.
