Enable Extended Offline Mode

The Butterfly iQ app must connect to the internet every 30 days to ensure there are no critical safety or software updates. If your app does not connect to the internet for 30 days or more, you will be unable to scan until there has been a check-in.

To use your Butterfly probe without internet for more than 30 days, contact Butterfly Support and request access to Extended Offline Mode. Once it has been enabled for your Butterfly account, you can enable it in your Butterfly iQ app:

  1. On your mobile device, validate that you have an internet connection. Then, open the Butterfly iQ app.
  2. Navigate to the toolbar on the bottom and click on your avatar at the right to access your Profile.
  3. Select Preferences and navigate to "Extended Offline Mode".
  4. Enable "Extended Offline Mode" by tapping the toggle on. With the mode enabled, any critical updates will be communicated to you via email since the device may be offline.

If Extended offline mode is still toggled on but you have internet, you will still receive important alerts on your mobile device.

Note: Extended Offline Mode can only be enabled or disabled while connected to the internet. To disable Extended Offline Mode and receive software updates and alerts, tap the toggle again.
