Using Butterfly Academy

Butterfly Academy is a clinical resource full of foundational ultrasound courses that allow clinical administrators to control the learning material available to clinicians to build their confidence ahead of scanning, and help to expand their clinical practice of ultrasound.

Butterfly Academy is available to teams, individual and pro custom with education users. It is also available, with premium capabilities, for enterprise customers who have purchased Butterfly Academy licenses.

Accessing Butterfly Academy

1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials on a desktop.
2. Select the ‘Education’ page.
3. Select ‘Butterfly Academy’.

When a user initially logs in to Butterfly Academy they may not have any courses that they are enrolled in. They can click on the ‘Course Catalog’ banner to access and enroll in any course they like.

View Course Progress in Butterfly Academy

This capability is only available for medical education and enterprise workflow customers. In order to view dashboards you must either be an enterprise administrator or an organization administrator.

1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials on a desktop.
2. Select the ‘Education’ page.
3. Click the ‘Dashboard’ page.

You can now switch between seeing progression broken out by user or by a specific course. Search for a specific user if you’d like to understand what they have completed and not completed.

Enroll Users in Courses in Butterfly Academy

This capability is only available for medical education and enterprise workflow customers. In order to view dashboards you must either be an enterprise administrator or an organization administrator.

1. Log into Butterfly Cloud using your Butterfly credentials on a desktop.
2. Select the ‘Education’ page.
3. Click the ‘Dashboard’ page.
4. Search and select for the users you’d like to enroll.
5. Press ‘Start Course Enrollment’
6. Select the courses you’d like to enroll the users in and click ‘Enroll’.

After you’ve enrolled the users in courses, you should now see those additions from the dashboard and you’ll be able to track clinician’s progress through the content.
